Kurisu is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Emmaste ( Emmaste vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description and History

Kurisu has 18 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).

Kurisu is located in a karst area. Under conservation is in Kurisu the largest sinkholes of the island, the Kurisoo auk. The sinkhole is one hundred feet long, thirty feet wide and up to seven feet deep.
