Tilga is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Emmaste ( Emmaste vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description

Tilga has 34 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The place is located six kilometers northeast of the village Emmaste.

Conservation area Tilga

In 1998, the conservation area Tilga ( Tilga maastikukaitseala ) was launched. It covers an area of 39.7 hectares.

The area serves to protect the jaw and inventory of rare plant species. There are growing among other wild orchids, red helleborine, creeping sheet of netting and bird - nest orchid.
