Hanušovice

Hanušovice ( German Hannsdorf ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers north of Šumperk and belongs to Okres Šumperk.

Geography

Hanušovice is located south of the Śnieżnik Mountains on the edge of the mountain villages Hanns country. The city lies at the confluence of Branná (Central board Bach) in the March and extends in a north-south direction in the valleys of Hanušovický Potok ( Hanns villages Bach ) and the March. To the south lie the ruins of the castle Fear mountain. In the north- east rises the Hanušovický vrch ( Busch Mountain, 658 m), southeast of the prsna ( Loud Mountain, 642 m) and in the southwest the Vršava (Romans mountain, 665 m) and the Spáleniště ( Brandenberg, 717 m)

History

Joannis villa was first mentioned on May 3, 1325 as of Knights Hanß of Wustehube on Goldstein, along with other villages around Goldeck left the place to the monastery Kamenz. In the founding document of the Bishopric Litomyšl of 1351 the existence of a parish church in Hannsdorf is occupied. After the reign Goldstein had regained the village, was the expansion of the city to the southern economic center of the domain.

The Hanns villages judge was in 1439 equipped with far-reaching privileges. During the Hungarian claims to power on the Bohemian crown Hanussowicze was destroyed.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hannsdorf formed a municipality in the district Moravian Schönberg.
