Hespe is a municipality in the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony and part of the velvet municipality Nienstädt.

Neighboring communities

Clockwise this are the community Meerbeck, the City of Hagen, the communities Helpsen and Seggebruch and the city Biickeburg.

Community structure

Quarters are Hespe, Hiddensen, Levesen and caulking. The municipal area is the deserted village Etze.

History

The district Hiddensen was first documented in 1223 mentioned as Hidden Husen, Levesen then in 1260 as Lezeshusen. Hespe originated in the 16th century as a by- village of Hiddensen.

Religions

All districts were allocated to 1913/1914 the newly formed Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation Seggebruch. Until then, they belonged to the collegiate church upper churches.

Incorporations

On March 1, 1974, the municipality was newly Hespe formed by the merger of the municipalities Hespe - Hiddensen, Levesen and caulking.

Finances

The 2013 budget is balanced as a result of household with ~ 1.9 million euros. The financial budget Proceeds of ~ 1.7 million euros and disbursements of ~ 1.5 million euros are expected. Loans are not required.

Public Safety

  • For public safety and order the police station Biickeburg is responsible.
  • The fire protection ensure the volunteer fire services Hespe - Hiddensen and Mortising - Levesen.

Traffic

About the westernmost federal highway 65, the connection points bath nominal village and Bad Eilsen are within the BAB 2. The nearest train station is in Kirchhorsten, a district of the neighboring community Helpsen. Public transport is provided by the bus company Rottmann & Spannuth from Biickeburg with the line RSO 24/28.

Education

For pre-school education, a nursery is available. The elementary school is operated by the Joint municipality. Secondary schools are located in Helpsen, Upper Church, Hagen and Biickeburg.
