Hillman Minx

The Hillman Minx was a 1932-1970 built in seven rows of passenger car model, belonging to the Rootes Group manufacturer Hillman of the middle class.

As of 1950, the Minx was produced until about 1962 also in Japan by Isuzu under license.

The Minx was sold from 1956 through the so-called badge engineering under various other names belonging to the Rootes Group Brand Singer, Sunbeam and Humber: Singer Gazelle, Singer Vogue, Sunbeam Rapier and the Humber Sceptre. Thus, for example, Hillman Super Minx as the 1963-1967 Humber Sceptre (I / II) with the same body and technology, however, better equipment and slightly different front and rear sections offered.

The New Minx 1967-1969 was a model on the new platform of the Rootes Arrow. The new Minx corresponded visually and technically the Hillman Hunter was, but easier than equipped base model of Arrow- series engines and had lower power. It was produced by the end of 1969. Successor in 1970, the Hillman Hunter De Luxe and the Hillman Avenger, both of which were marketed in 1976 as Chrysler.

After the takeover of Chrysler Europe by Peugeot (PSA ) in late 1978, the name Talbot Minx from 1984 mounted as a term for variants of the Talbot - Ryton plant (England) Talbot Solara types and 1510/Alpine was used, in parallel, there were these vehicles in other facilities as Talbot Rapier.
