Hinesburg is a town in Chittenden County, the State of Vermont in the United States with 4,396 inhabitants ( according to the census of 2010). It lies largely in the Champlain Valley, the lowlands around Lake Champlain; the eastern part of the town reached on the first foothills of the Green Mountains altitudes of more than 400 meters.
