HK Zemgale

The HK Zemgale (also JLSS Zemgale ) is a Latvian ice hockey club from Jelgava, the part returns to the Latvian Hockey League since 2010.

History

The club was founded in 2001 in Jelgava and took off in 2002 as ASK Zemgale Jelgava in the Latvian Hockey league. At the same time took a syndicate Hanza / Zemgale Jelgava part in the second division of Latvia. In the 2003 /03 season, the men's team played in parallel in the B Division of the East European Hockey League. By the end of the 2004 /05 men's team of the first division belonged to, then retired but due to financial problems of this back.

Then, only amateur and junior teams took part in the match operation. 2010, the association filed again a men's team in the Latvian Hockey League.
