Horka II

Horka II, also Horka nad Vltavou, is a municipality with 395 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers southeast of the city Zruč nad Sázavou in the Valley of Sasau and belongs to the Okres Kutná Hora. The land area is 1022 ha

Geography

The village is located on the left flank of the Sázava in 348 m asl Neighboring towns are Dolni Pohleď in the north and in the east Březina nad Sázavou each side of the river, and Milošovice Čejtice the southeast, Onšovec in the south and Domahoř in the West.

Southwest runs the valley of Želivka that is jammed there in the drinking water reservoir Švihov.

History

In the first half of the 14th century the village was located here Sloupná and a courtyard Horka.
