Hostěrádky-Rešov

Hostěrádky - Rešov ( German Hostieradek - Reschow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 16 kilometers southeast of the city center of Brno and belongs to Okres Vyškov. In the corridors of the community the battle of Austerlitz took place in 1805.

Geography

Hostěrádky - Rešov located between the Drahany country and the Steinitzer forest in the foothills of the Thaya Schwarza valley floor. The village is situated at the southeastern foot of Pracký Kopec ( Pratzeberg ) in the Valley of Litava ( Littawa ). Through the town the railway line leading from Brno to Přerov.

Neighboring towns are Prace the north, Zbysov in the northeast, and Hrušky Šaratice in the east, in the southeast Otnice, Újezd ​​u Brna in the southwest, Sokol Nice to the west and Kobylnice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village Malé Hostěrádky was 1270.

On 2 December 1805, place was in the southeast of the battlefield of the Battle of Three Emperors.

After the abolition of patrimonial Malé Hostěhrádky belonged since 1850 to the political district Wischau. In 1869, originated from the two adjacent villages Malé Hostěhrádky and Rešov the community Hostěhrádky, Rešov; the later to 1921 the name Hostěhrádky - Rešov wore. Between 1950 and 1960 the town was part of the Okres Austerlitz and then came back to Okres Vyškov. Today, both towns have grown together.
