Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture
The Autonomous District Huangnan Tibetan (Chinese黄 南 藏族 自治州, Pinyin Huangnan Zàngzú Zìzhìzhōu, Tibetan: རྨ་ལྷོ་བོད་རིགས་རང་སྐྱོང་ཁུལ་; Wylie transliteration: Rma - lho Bod- rigs rang- skyong - khul ) located in the east of Qinghai province and is the Tibetan cultural region of Amdo Act. The Tibetan name is Malho. Its administrative seat ( "capital" ) is the greater community Rongwo (隆 务 镇zhen Wulong ) in Rebgong Valley. Huangnan has an area of 17,921 km ².
Administrative Divisions
Huangnan is made up of three circles and one autonomous district:
- Tongren county (同仁 县), capital: greater community Rongwo (隆 务 镇), 3465 km ², 80,000 inhabitants (2004);
- Circle Jainca (尖扎 县), capital: greater community Magitang (马克唐 镇), 1712 km ², 50,000 inhabitants (2004);
- Circle Zêkog (泽库 县), capital: greater community Zêqu (泽 曲 镇), 6494 km ², 50,000 inhabitants (2004);
- Autonomous County of Henan Mongolian (河南 蒙古族 自治县), capital: greater community Yêgainnyin (优 干 宁 镇), 6250 km ², 30,000 inhabitants ( 2004).
