Hubenov (Jihlava District)

Hubenov ( German stone village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers west of the center of Jihlava and belongs to Okres Jihlava.

Geography

Hubenov extends on the right side of the creek Jedlovský creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. East of the valley of the creek Maršovský lies with the dam Hubenov. North-east rises the U svatého Antonína ( Antoni mountain, 629 m) and to the east of the Pekelský vrch (Wolf Pit Mountain, 579 m).

Neighboring towns are Ježená in the north, Vyskytná nad Jihlavou, Nový Rounek and Rounek in the northeast, Pekelský Mlýn and Hosov in the east, Dvorce the southeast, Kostelecký Dvůr Kostelec, Klepák and Cejle in the south, Mirošov the southwest, Jedlov in the west and Zbuzany, Boršov, Dušejov and Maršov in the northwest.

History

The town was founded during the colonization of the Czech border areas to Moravia by the Seelau with German settlers. The first written mention of stone village took place in 1366th The residents of stone village which was also referred to as Hladow, living from pastoralism. Southeast of stone village later came the Schwammenhof and a homonymous settlement, which were referred to in documents as a Czech-speaking Hubenow. The orphaned during the Hussite Wars Seelauer monastic estates handed King Sigismund in 1436, with the consent of the abbot fled to Jihlava for the protection and management of Nicholas Trček lipas. After George of Podiebrad had the monastic property in 1458 attributed to Trček of Lipa in the country table, the rule developed sticks. 1599 sold Christoph Jaroslaw Trček of Lipa, the village Hladow / stone village and the farm Hubenow / Schwammenhof for 600 shock to the city of Jihlava. Over the years, the old village was called Old stone village and Schwammenhof was called New Stone village. Both places were located until 1848 owned Iglauer citizens. They belonged to the Jihlava linguistic island and were predominantly inhabited by Germans.

After the abolition of patrimonial regimes were old and new stone village as well as farms and Jesau 1850 the congregation stone village / Hubenov in the district Polná. 1878 Stone village was assigned to the district Deutschbrod. In the 1880s, also was Jesau courtyards and after 1900 independently. After the Second World War, the German inhabitants were expelled. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Jihlava - okolí and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Jihlava. 1953, founded the volunteer fire department. In the 1960s, emerged in Stary Hubenov new homes, took place in the 1970s, so in the Nový Hubenov.
