Zbinohy

Zbinohy ( German Winau, also Winow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers north-west of the center of Jihlava and belongs to Okres Jihlava.

Geography

Zbinohy located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands right side above the valley of the brook Úsobský creek. To the north rises the Kašparův vrch ( 692 m), to the east the Skalky (708 m ) south of the Novota ( 689 m), in the west the Pavlovka (670 m) and northwest of the Temnik ( 661 m). To the northwest lies the pond Zbinožský fishpond. North leads past the motorway A1, exit 104 Větrný Jenikov located two kilometers east.

Neighboring towns are Skorkov in the north, Úsobí, Kosovy and Petro Vice in the northeast, and Smrčná Smrčensko the southeast, Větrný Jenikov in the south, Kalhov, Velešov and Velešovský Dvůr in the west and Pavlov u Herálce and Slavníč in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was in 1437, after the year before King Sigismund with the consent of the abbot fled to Jihlava Seelauer monastic estates handed over to the protection and management of the Nicholas Trček of Lipa. After George of Podiebrad had the monastic property in 1458 attributed to Trček of Lipa in the country table, built Burian Trček of Lipa rule Jenikau. 1601 sold the Trček which consists of the parties and the town of Windy Jenikau with brewery and Vorwerkshof and 22 villages, including Buková Chyska, Dudin, Scheibel village, Mysletín, Winau, Opatau, Keller village, Vorlovy, Polánky, Neustift, Prusdorf and Pollerskirchen rule Jenikau to the originating from a patrician family ennobled Iglauer Matthias Stubegg Knights of Königstein ( Matyas Štubík z Königštejna ). Meanwhile sons shared in 1606 the ownership and Samuel Stubegg received the Jenikauer proportion with the Windy Jenikau town and the villages Winau, Opatau, Dudin, Maršov, Duschau, Jankau, Kalhau, Prusdorf and Chyska. After his death, acquired Magdalena Trček of Lobkowicz in 1619 the rule. During the Thirty Years' War impoverished the area and subsequently to foreign Catholic nobles alternated in rapid succession as the owner and sat recatholicisation the population. Under Johann Baptist Ritter von Minetti, the rule bought in 1719, set up a new bloom. His legacy flowed into a public foundation, which gave the following rule on lease to different owners. 1838 bought the counts of Rummerskirch the rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zbinohy / Winow formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Deutschbrod. At the beginning of the 20th century Zbinohy was assigned to the District Humpolec. Since 1961 Větrný Jenikov belongs to Okres Jihlava. On March 20, 2008, a mass accident on the D 1 occurred at kilometer 100 shortly before departure Větrný Jenikov with a loss of 27.863 million crowns in the 131 cars, 98 trucks and two buses were involved and in which there are three heavy - and 27 slight injuries.
