Hüniken

Hüniken is a municipality in the district water office of the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.

With an area of ​​only 1.0 square kilometers just Hüniken is the smallest municipality in the district water office. The municipal area includes a portion of the gently undulating moraine landscape in the outer water office, which was formed by the glacial Rhône glacier. The central part of the region is the basin of Hüniken and the south of this location Tannfeld. Its present form was given the St. Michael's Chapel in 1822. Hüniken has preserved several characteristic farmhouses dating from the 17th to the 19th century.
