Hygrocybe calyptriformis

Rose Red Saftling ( Porpolomopsis calyptriformis )

The Rose Red Saftling ( Porpolomopsis calyptriformis, Syn Hygrocybe calyptriformis ) is a species of fungus in the family Schneck Ling relatives. He was separated from the juice Lingen in a separate genus, due to the phylogeny and pigmentation.

Features

Macroscopic characteristics

The hat is initially pointed cone-shaped, reaching a width of 5, sometimes up to 7 cm a height of 2 to 5 cm and after Aufschirmn. The Hutmitte remains more or less conical. He initially rose but also reddish or ocher- colored lilagraulich, but faded later, starting from the Hutmitte. The surface is slightly tacky and radial fiber cracked. The hat is a little fleshy. The edge is thin, initially bent on and later.

The slender shaft is approximately the same thickness throughout and is 7 to 10 cm long and 1 to 1.2 cm wide. He is colored white or washed out pink, hollow and brittle. Its surface is smooth, but finely pruinose at the top and a total of striped something or ingrown fibrous. His stature is often somewhat twisted. The blades are thick and not high. Where the stem they are flat where they are grown pointed or free standing. You are excessively tight. They are initially reddish in color, but later also fade. The blades are a little bepustelt. The flesh is white, rosalich in the hat tip. The smell is negligible, the taste mild. The spore powder is white.

Microscopic characteristics

The spores are elliptical - ovate and measure 5-8 times 5-6 microns. You are inamyloid and its surface is smooth. The basidia are mostly 4- sporig. The lamellae is regular with elements of at least 1 mm in length.

Artabgrenzung

The Rose Red Saftling is uniquely identified by its pink coloring inside the wax caps. Confusion may arise with the pink radish helmet Ling. However, it smells strikingly radish and his hat has a much duller hump. It also occurs mainly within forests.

Ecology and phenology

The Rose Red Saftling occurs in meadows, pastures and other grassy areas, but also in forests, where it is found especially among beeches, maples and ashes. He is to be found especially in the mountains. The fungus grows here on unfertilized, semi-natural grassland with low sward. The soils are acidic or basic and well- developed moss layer in general. The fruiting bodies are made from August to October.

Dissemination

In Central Europe the species is montane - subalpine common. It is to be found up to an altitude of 1800 meters ( Switzerland ). In Germany, the mushroom from Baden -Württemberg and Bavaria is known. Recent findings also come from Thuringia.

System

A white form was described as f nivea. In addition, a variable Var already exists. domingensis. It has a colored stem, larger spores and a Hutdeckschicht different structure. It was described from the Dominican Republic and then found in the U.S. and in southern England. The investigations of the collections made showed, however, that the figures used for sub Scheid drying characteristics may differ (apart from the pore size ). The taxonomic classification is therefore uncertain.

Importance

The Rose Red Saftling is through the destruction of its habitat, particularly through fertilization, very rare. It is edible. For dining purposes, the fungus is, however, to preserve significance, and because of its rarity.
