Igor Bortnikov

Igor Anatoljevich Bortnikov (Russian Игорь Анатольевич Бортников; born June 8, 1989 in Leninogorsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since June 2013 at the Admiral Vladivostok in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Igor Bortnikov began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In the 2007 /08 season the attacker made ​​a breakthrough in Neftechimiks second team in the third-class Perwaja league. In 73 games, he scored 61 points scorer, 26 goals and also made ​​his debut for Neftechimiks professional team in the Super League. Since the 2008/ 09 season he stands for Neftekhimik in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League on the ice. From 2008 to 2010 he played in parallel on the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, for Neftjanik Leninogorsk, Ariada- Akpars Wolschsk and Ischstal Izhevsk. Since 2009 he occurs also in for Neftechimiks Junior team in the Junior League multinational Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja league.

In the season 2010/11 Bortnikov could win a regular place in the KHL team Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In 51 games, he scored eight goals and had nine assists.

During the Expansion Draft on June 17, 2013 Bortnikov was selected by Admiral Vladivostok.
