Iraq participated in the Summer Paralympics 2008 in Beijing, China with 20 athletes. Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was Faris Al Ajeeli. The best result the team reached the powerlifter Rasool Mohsin in the class up to 56 kg with the silver medal.
