Sitting volleyball at the 2008 Summer Paralympics
In the Summer Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 were medals in total 2 competitions in sitting volleyball, both one for men and one for women, forgive. The decisions were made between September 7th and 15th September 2008 in China Agricultural University.

Classification
The game is played according to the rules of the World Organisation for Volleyball Disabled. In each game, replace two squad of up to 12 players each, of which 6 per team are at the same time on the field. A player must have a minimum disability, while the other must be five severely disabled. With three sets gained a team has also won the game. It will therefore played a maximum of five sets. While playing the ball must always ground contact made and the position must not be abandoned.
