Sailing at the 2008 Summer Paralympics
In the Summer Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 medals were awarded in a total of 3 competitions in sailing. The decisions were made on 13 September 2008 at the International Sailing Center in Qingdao.
Classes
In the Paralympic sailing competition was only distinguished into classes in order to provide the balance of the team. Thus, the athletes were on the level of disability with up to seven points, seven points were awarded for the little disabled athletes classified. Three sailors were not allowed to exceed the total score of 14 points. In One had a minimal disability exist, otherwise there was no further distinctions.
Results
It took a total of 80 athletes participated in the Paralympic sailing competitions. Women and men started mixed in the three rides.
One-man keelboat ( 2.4mR )
