Boccia at the 2008 Summer Paralympics
In the Summer Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 medals were awarded in 7 competitions in bocce. The decisions were taken between 9 September and 12 September 2008 at the Olympic Green Convention Centre.
Classes
In the bowls were allowed to go with infantile cerebral palsy or other major physical disabilities at the start at the Paralympics athletes. The classification is based on BC1 to BC4.
Results
It took a total of 88 athletes participated in the Paralympic Boccia competitions. Men and women started in the mixed team ( two decisions) in double (1) and in the individual (4). The individual decisions were held on the first day of competition, September 9, the double and team events at the second, 12 September.
Individual BC1
First was performed in four groups of four players. The group winners and runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals then, from where it then went on a knockout system.

It was first played in seven groups of four players. The group winners and the best runner-up qualified for the quarter-finals then, from where it then went on a knockout system.

Team BC3
First teams was played in two groups of four. The group winners and runners-up qualify for the semi-finals then, which was performed as the final of the knockout system.

Double BC4
First teams was played in two groups of four. The group winners and runners-up qualify for the semi-finals then, which was performed as the final of the knockout system.

Team BC1/BC2
First, in four groups was played with three teams. The group winners and runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals then, this and the remaining games were carried out in the knockout system.
