ISO 3166-2:MR

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Mauritania contains the codes for the 12 regions and the capital district.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Mauritania MR), the second is the code for the region again. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998.
