Isuzu Bellett GT
The Isuzu Bellett was a 1963 to 1973 produced the compact model of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Isuzu.
The Bellett was designed by Isuzu in-house and replaced the previously built under license Hillman Minx. The name Bellett means something like "little Bellel ".
The Bellett was available as a two or four-door sedan, two-door coupe than as rare two-door station wagon called the Bellett Express, and as manufactured in even smaller numbers pick-up Isuzu Wasp. After General Motors had acquired at the beginning of the 1970s shares in Isuzu, the Bellett was replaced by a version of the based on the Opel Kadett C global T-car that initially the name Isuzu Bellett Gemini, later simply Isuzu Gemini was called and the ur - Bellett had little in common. From a total of 170 737 copies were made Bellett.
Limousine
The sedan was released in June 1963, with an optional 1.5-liter OHV gasoline four-cylinder or a 1.8 -liter diesel engine equipped. GT
When Isuzu Bellett GT, which was presented in April 1964, it was a two-door coupe with a 1.6-liter twin carburettor engine and the first Japanese car that bore the name GT (Gran Turismo ). In September 1964, a 1.5 -liter version of the coupe was released; at the same time it received front disc brakes and a modified front end. In September 1967, the performance of the base engine was increased and introduced a hatchback body. Two years later, the 1.6-liter was an overhead camshaft, which in 1970 replaced by a 1.8-liter.
GT -R
The GT-R, strictly speaking, GT Type-R ( as Racing = Racing) was the racing version of the GT, which was available for civilian customers. The GT-R, introduced in September 1969, had the 1.6 -liter engine with two overhead camshafts from the Isuzu 117 Coupe, servo-brakes and numerous other innovations. Visually, the GT -R differed primarily by the matt black painted hood of the other Bellett models. The GT-R has been very successful in the Japanese motor sports; he was in an edition of 1400 pieces.
Isuzu Wasp
As Isuzu Wasp ( Wasp ) a chassis for bodies and pick was offered in 1965. He had a payload of 1 tonne and was selectively driven by the 1.3 L petrol engine or the 1.8 L diesel engine. The Wasp was built until 1972 and then replaced by the Isuzu Faster.
