It's About Time ( dt: It is high time ) is the debut album by the American band the Jonas Brothers. It was released on 8 August 2006 under the label Columbia Records and INO Records in the USA. In Germany it is not available. As the first and only single from the album the song Mandy was published in December 2005, but which missed one chart position.
Background and promotion
After completion of the numerous tours the band began to take a closer look after the recording of their debut album. It was the only CD that the band sold under the label Columbia Records, in December 2006, they lost their contract. Commercial success
The album was commercially fell short of expectations, it only reached number 91 on the Billboard charts, where it was able to hold only one week. In Germany and most of Europe, the album was not published, so it could not place in the charts. According to the manager of the band, the album was only available in a limited, only 50,000 CDs have been produced, for example. Reception
The album got average reviews. Starpulse.com for example, gave the album three stars and wrote that it would be an amusing debut and more hangers have than most other teen - oriented music of the year. About.com rated the CD rather negative and put the credibility of the marketing concept of the record label in question. So wrote Kim Jones, that the image of a Christian teenager and role models is very implausible for three boys in the age of the band members.
