Itagüí F.C.

Itagüí FC is a football club established in 1991 Colombian Itagüí, Antioquia, who currently plays in the first division of Colombia.

History

The name of the association was changed several times. It was founded under the name Deporti vo Industrial Itagüí, 1994, he was renamed Deportivo Antioquia and 1996 in Itagüí Fútbol Club. In 2004 he was renamed in Bajo Cauca Fútbol Club and relocated to Caucasia. Since 2008, the club plays in Itagüí, only under the name Itagüí Ditaires since 2013 Itagüí FC. By 2010, the club played in the Colombian second division. In 2010 he was champion of the second division and was promoted to the first division. In the same year, the club also reached the first second division the final of the Copa Colombia, but it lost to Deportivo Cali. 2012 was the best ever season of Itagüí in the first division at the end of qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana was in 2013, when the club reached the quarter- finals.

Stadium

Itagüí FC completed its home games at the Estadio Metropolitano de Ciudad Itagüí. The stadium was built in 1994 and has a capacity of about 12,000 seats.
