Ivan Miljković

Ivan Miljkovic (Cyrillic Иван Милјковић; * September 13, 1979 in Niš, Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player. He is regarded as one of the best attackers in the world. He 88 kg and 206 cm tall.

Clubs

From 1997 to 2000 Miljkovic played at Partizan Belgrade. After three years at Partizan Belgrade, he moved to Lube Macerata in Italy. There he played for seven years and switched to M. Roma Volley 2007. From 2008 to 2010 he played in Greece with Olympiakos Piraeus. Since 2010 he has been active with Fenerbahce in Turkey.

National

With the national team of Serbia ( Yugoslavia until 2002, from 2003 to 2006 Serbia and Montenegro) won Ivan Miljkovic many medals. At the 2000 Olympics in Sydney he won the gold medal. The next year he became European Champion in the Czech Republic. In the two world leagues in 2002 and 2004 he won the bronze medal, and the two World Leagues 2003 and 2005 the silver medal. 2005 and 2007 at the European Championships he won the bronze medal. In the two world leagues in 2008 and 2009 he won the silver medal, and at the World League in 2010 the bronze medal. In 2010 he won also the bronze medal at the World Championships in Italy. In 2011 he was European champion in the Czech Republic and Austria again. Ivan Miljkovic was awarded many times in major tournaments as the " Most Valuable Player ", "Best Attacker " or " Best Scorer".
