Ivan Ratkić

Ivan Ratkić ( born February 23, 1986 in Zagreb ) is a former Croatian skier. He participated in three World Cups and two Olympic Games and launched from 2007 to 2010 in several World Cup races.

Career

His first FIS races contested Ratkić in November 2001. Between 2003 and 2006 he took part in the Junior World Championships, the best result here was the 26th place in the Super -G in 2006. Already in 2005 he competed in the World Championships in Bormio and came on in the giant slalom the 38th rank. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he finished in the Super G 36th place in the Giant Slalom and Super Combined he fell out. He achieved similar results at the World Championships 2007 in Åre, best finish was ranked 31st in the super combined.

On 29 November 2007 the Croat took in the super combination of Beaver Creek for the first time at a World Cup race part, but fell on the descent from. In February 2009, he reached the 13th place in the super combined and ranked 31st in the super -G at the World Championships in Val d'Isere. In his fourth World Cup race in the same month he succeeded the first countable result: In the super combined of Sestriere, he finished 38th the first and only World Cup of his career won Ratkić on 4 December 2009 as 30 super combined of Beaver Creek. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver, he finished 26th in the Super G and rank 41 in the downhill. In the super combined, he left in downhill skiing. After the end of the 2009/2010 season Ratkić lost his squad membership in the Croatian Ski Federation, which he ended his career.
