J. Herschel (crater)

J. Herschel is a great level rampart on the northern edge of Mare Frigoris in the northwest of the lunar front side. To the northwest lies the little pronounced crater Anaximander and the flashy Carpenter. South of the Wall plane the small crater Horrebow and Robinson.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British astronomer Sir John Herschel.
