Jaan Jüris

Jaan Jüris ( born June 23, 1977 in Valga ) is an Estonian ski jumper.

Career

Jüris made ​​his international debut at the Ski Flying World Championships 2000 in Vikersund. A year later he joined the Nordic World Ski Championships 2001 in Lahti. From the winter 2001/ 02 he became a regular in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup (COC ) to, in January 2002, he made ​​his debut in the World Cup in Zakopane, but could not reach the second round. A little later, he took part in Harrachov also at the Ski Flying World Championships 2002. In the following years he appeared again in the COC, and joined in January 2003, after he had finished fourth in a Continental Cup in Bischofshofen, again in the World Cup. With a 15th place while jumping on 9 February 2003 by the Mühlenkopfschanze in Willingen, he was able to celebrate the best result of his career. A few weeks later, he took part in Val di Fiemme, at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003. In the following season 2003/ 04 he took part in the World Cup throughout, but was able to reach the second round at no jumping. Nevertheless, he took part in the discharged in Planica Ski Flying World Championships 2004. The 2004/05 season was as unsuccessful as the preceding for him. 2005/ 06 he did not survived mostly qualifying for the World Cup competitions, but was able to participate in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. From the normal hill, he finished 50th place, on the big hill he could not qualify. After the Olympic Games Juris joined the mostly unsuccessful at the COC.
