Jack Skille

Jack Skille ( born May 19, 1987 in Madison, Wisconsin ) is an American professional ice hockey player who stands in July 2013 in the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Jack Skille began his career as a hockey player in the junior program of the U.S. Ice Hockey Federation USA Hockey, for whom he played from 2003 to 2005 a total of two years in the North American Hockey League. During the NHL Entry Draft 2005 Skille was selected as the seventh overall player in the first round by the Chicago Blackhawks. First, however, he played two more years in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association for Hockey Team, University of Wisconsin - Madison. With the team in Joe Pavelski, Tom Gilbert and Adam Burish played, he won in 2006, the U.S. college championship. Towards the end of the season 2006/ 07, the Americans made ​​his debut in professional hockey, as he scored eight points scorer in nine games for the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, including four goals. In summer 2007, Skille was added to the roster of Rockford IceHogs, the AHL farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks.

In his first full season as a professional, the attacker scored 34 points scorer in 59 games, including 16 goals, and reached the playoffs with his team to the Calder Cup, in which he contributed three points scorer in twelve matches. Also in the 2007/ 08 season was Skille his debut in the National Hockey League for the Blackhawks, and posted it three goals and two assists in 16 games. Even in the two following seasons Skille was a performer at the Rockford IceHogs and one of the best scorer of the team. During the 2010/11 season, he managed to jump into the NHL squad Blackhawks and Skille was one of the regulars before he was released in February 2011 in a swap deal to the Florida Panthers.

In July 2013 he signed a one year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. On October 19, 2013 Skille was his NHL debut for the Blue Jackets, but was transferred the following day to the Springfield Falcons in the AHL before he was appointed on November 17, back to the NHL squad.
