January Marcus Posthuma ( born July 11, 1963 in Dokkum ) is a former Dutch volleyball player.

January Posthuma played in his youth volleyball at DUC Sanitarias and moved in 1979 to the Dutch first division Animo Sneek. 1986 he joined the top club Martinus Amstelveen. Here he became Dutch Champion twice under coach Arie Selinger and won twice third place in the European Champions Cup. In 1989, the middle blocker in the Italian league for the top club Gabeca Montichiari, with whom he won the 1991 and 1992 European Cup Winners' Cup. 1992/93 played in January Posthuma at Sisley Treviso and won the Italian Cup and the European CEV Cup. He then returned for a season to Montichiari and then played in 1994/95 at Volley Gonzaga Milan, with whom he was number three in the CEV Cup. Then in January Posthuma again played a season in Montichiari, where in 1996 he ended his career.

January Posthuma played 352 times between 1986 and 1996 for the Dutch national team. He participated in three Olympic Games and won the silver medal in 1992 in Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta gold medal. Another highlight was winning the World League in 1996.
