Jane (TTC)

Jane is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at the intersection of Bloor Street and Jane Street. The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 16,730 passengers (2009 /10).

Nearby is the shopping district Bloor West Village. It offers connecting flights to three bus lines, and for this purpose there is a turnaround. The opening of the station on 10 May 1968 together with the section Keele - Islington.

As part of the Transit City project, Jane should be the starting point of a rail line. Known as the Jane LRT line will run north along Jane Street to Steeles West subway station future at the Yonge- University - Spadina Line. The opening is scheduled for 2017.
