Järva-Jaani Parish

Järva -Jaani ( St. John German ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian county Järva with an area of 126 km ². It has 1760 inhabitants.

Active in Järva -Jaani was the Baltic German historian Christian chalice 1688-1691 Livonia wrote his story. Eduard Gebhardt (1838-1925), who later became a professor at the Art Academy of Dusseldorf was was born in Järva -Jaani.

Interesting that John the Baptist church dedicated Järva -Jaani, whose origins go back to the 13th century. The altar plate dates from the 14th century, the Baroque pulpit of the Tallinn woodcarver Franz Hoppenstätt of 1648th The west tower was added in 1881.
