Jason Edward Lezak ( born November 12, 1975 in Irvine, California) is an American swimmer.

Career

Lezak specializes in short freestyle distances. He trained in Irvine and studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Throughout his career he made with the U.S. freestyle and medley relay on several world records.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Lezak was closing float the 4 × 100 -meter freestyle final season of the U.S. men. He succeeded, the seemingly unassailable before him Frenchman Alain Bernard still catch up and the race by 8/ 100 seconds to decide ahead for the U.S.. He swam 46.06 seconds in the 100m freestyle, the fastest ever erected a flying start time and in 3:08,24 minutes world record with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.
