Jason Myslicki

Jason Myslicki ( born December 14, 1977 in Thunder Bay, Canada ) is a Canadian Nordic Combiner.

Ski Jumping

As a child Myslicki exerted the Canadian national sport of ice hockey and skied. Through a report on the launch of the Ski Jumping World Cup in Thunder Bay, he began to be interested in ski jumping. At twelve he jumped for the first time from a K38 ski jumping hill and gave the Hockey favor of ski jumping on. As a 14 -year-old, he was selected by Horst Bulau for the Canadian Ski Team. In 1995 Myslicki ski jumping at the Nordic World Ski Championships at home in Thunder Bay. He was 48th on the upper and 39 on the normal hill. In Ski Jumping World Cup, he was able to qualify in 1996 for two competitions in Zakopane, but remained without points. In 1997, he ended his career as a ski jumper.

Nordic Combined

Myslicki began in December 1998, again with the competitive sports, this time as nordic combiners. He could already qualify for, which takes place in Ramsau in February 1999 Nordic World Ski Championships, where the ranks of 41 and 49 occupied.

The following winter, Myslicki tried as a speed skater. After eight months, he gave the sport up again and became a coach for ski jumping and Nordic combined in Calgary. In view of the Olympic Games 2010 in his Canadian homeland, he decided to start again with the combination in March 2008. In January 2009, he competed in the Olympic dress rehearsal at Whistler Olympic Park his first World Cup race in nearly three years. A short time later, the Canadians reached his best World Cup result by finishing 23 in Chaux -Neuve. In Vancouver 2010, Jason Myslicki the only representative of Canada in Nordic combined.
