Jason York

Jason York ( born May 20, 1970 in Nepean, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1992 to 2007 for the Detroit Red Wings, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.

Career

York played during his junior time for the Hamilton Steel Hawks, Windsor Spitfires and Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League. He was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 in the seventh round in a total of 127 position of the Detroit Red Wings. From 1991 to 1993, the defender played almost exclusively with the farm team of the Red Wings, the Adirondack Red Wings in the American Hockey League. The season 1993/94 spent York at farm team, played 74 games in the AHL and scored a total of 66 points scorer.
