Jayne Atkinson
Jayne Atkinson ( born February 18, 1959 in Bournemouth, Hampshire ) is an American actress.
Life
Jayne Atkinson was born in Bournemouth, Hampshire, England and moved with her parents when she was nine years old in the United States. She grew up in Hollywood and Florida. After she completed her acting training, she worked at various theaters.
Since 1986 she has been primarily seen on television. Her first role was as Lindley Gardner Eisenberg in the television series One fateful year. Chance she also acted in major films. So she stepped in Free Willy - call of freedom and the continuation of Free Willy 2 - The Adventure Home as Annie Greenwood on. For her performance in the TV movie Our House, she was nominated at the Satellite Awards 2003 for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie.
In 2006, she became known for her role as Karen Hayes in the real- time series 24 to a wide audience. Together with the 24 cast she received a nomination for Best Ensemble Acting for the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2007. Their role had Atkinson held until 2007. After that, they completed several guest appearances on several television series. From 2007 to 2013 she appeared in the crime series Criminal Minds in a recurring role as Erin Strauss. 2014, she returned for a guest appearance in the 200th episode of the series back to its old role.
Atkinson is married to actor Michel Gill and has with him a son.
