Jens Steinigen

Jens Stone ( born September 2, 1966 in Dippoldiswalde ) is a former German biathlete.

Career

Stone started as Active initially for the SG Dynamo Cínovec. He celebrated his first success in 1985, when he became World Junior Champion. Due to problems with the sport system in the GDR it was established in 1988, although sporty qualified, not taken to the Olympic Games in Calgary. He won the German 4 x 7.5 km relay together with Ricco Gross, Mark Kirchner and Fritz Fischer at the Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992 the gold medal. A year later, he won in the relay bronze at the Biathlon World Championships. An individual medal was not granted to him at the Olympic Games or World Championships. In addition to his career as a biathlete Stone studied law in Munich and received his PhD in 2003 on the theme: "Civil Legal aspects of doping from the perspective of the professional athlete ." Since August 2000 he has worked as a lawyer and specialist in employment law in Traunstein.
