Jesper Bank

Jesper Bank ( born April 6, 1957 in Fredericia ) is a Danish sailor, the world's one of the best match racing sailors. He is next to Paul Elvstrøm Denmark 's best-known and most successful professional sailor.

At the Olympic Games of Sydney 2000 Jesper Bank won his second gold medal in the match racing in the final against Jochen Schumann.

Jesper Bank was during the challenger round of the 32nd America 's Cup in 2007, the skipper of the German United Internet Team Germany. As the campaign had failed under his leadership, the ambitious goals far and Jesper Bank has been heavily criticized by the German press, he joined after the departure of the team from his post as skipper, helmsman and athletic director.

Jesper Bank bought in November 2008 together with the former CEO Claus Olsen, the sailmaker Elvstrøm Sails in Aabenraa (Denmark) by the owner Peter Jørgensen.
