Joe Farnsworth

Joseph Allen "Joe" Farnsworth ( born February 21, 1968 in Holyoke, Massachusetts) is an American jazz drummer and bandleader of the hard bop.

Joe Farnsworth's father is the trumpeter and bandleader Roger Farnsworth; one of his brothers played the saxophone in Ray Charles ' band. He studied at William Paterson College, took lessons with Harold Mabern and Art Taylor; In 1990, he earned the Bachelor of Music. In the following years he played with Junior Cook ( 1991), Jon Hendricks (1991 ), Jon Faddis (1992 ), George Coleman, Cecil Payne (1993 ), Annie Ross and Benny Green ( pianist ) ( 1995). In the same year he was a member of the formation One for All with David Hazeltine and Jim Rotondi; He also worked with Benny Golson, Steve Davis, Steve Grossman, Eric Alexander and Diana Krall (1999).
