Joe Jensen

Joseph Paul Jensen ( born February 6, 1983 in Maple Grove, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Val Pusteria from the Italian Serie A1 since August 2010.

Career

Joe Jensen began his career as a hockey player with the Sioux Falls Stampede, which until 2002 he was active from 2000 in the United States Hockey League. He then played four years for the crew of the St. Cloud State University. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the eighth round when a total 232 players from the Pittsburgh Penguins, for whom he never played, however.

Instead, the attacker ran one and a half years for their farm team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL before he was released on 31 January 2008 in exchange for David Grove to the Carolina Hurricanes. For the Hurricanes it was during the 2007/08 season his debut in the National Hockey League, where the links Sagittarius in six games scoring one goal. In the 2008 /09 season Jensen came exclusively for Carolina AHL farm team, the Albany River Rats used. After more than a year off (severe concussion after an accident of Mannschaftsbuses ) he signed in August 2010 a contract with HC Val Pusteria from the Italian Serie A1. In the early summer of 2011 he extended his contract in Val Pusteria for another year.
