Joel Rechlicz

Joel Rechlicz ( born June 14, 1987 in Brookfield, Wisconsin ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since April 2013 in the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League under contract on their farm team, the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League plays.

Career

Joel Rechlicz began his career as a hockey player with the Santa Fe Roadrunners, for the American Hockey League, he was active in the Junior League North in the 2004/05 season. In the season 2005/ 06 the attacker played only seven games for the Des Moines Buccaneers and Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League and the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL. After he started the following season in Gatineau in the QMJHL, he finished the season with the Chicago Hounds of the United Hockey League.

The 2007/08 season with the Kalamazoo Wings spent Rechlicz from the International Hockey League and the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. Then he received on 6 May 2008 as a free agent contract with the New York Islanders, for whom he made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2008/ 09 season. Here, in 17 games, he prepared a goal. However, the majority of the playtime spent the right shooter at New York's farm team, the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. In the 2009/10 season played Rechlicz again for both the Islanders and for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL. In July 2010, he signed as a free agent contract with the Hershey Bears in the AHL.
