Joey Mantia ( born February 7, 1986 in Ocala, Florida) is an American inline speed skaters and speed skaters. Mantia is 26- times world champion inline speed skating. Since 2004 he has regularly participated in this championships and next to his titles also won several silver and bronze medals. He won the 2008 Berlin Marathon prestigious new course record of 1:00:33 hours. This could be beaten in 2012 by Ewen Fernandez.

Speed ​​Skating

Since 2010, Mantia also increased its focus on the speed skating. His role models are athletes like Chad Hedrick or Derek Parra, who have successfully made ​​the leap from inline speed skating to speed skating. 2012, he has therefore not participated in the World Championships of inline speed skating. His ultimate goal is now to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
