Alexis Contin
Alexis Contin (* October 19, 1986 in Saint- Malo in the Ille -et -Vilaine ) is a French speed skater and inline speed skaters.
Speed Skating
In speed skating to Contin has specialized in the all-around and the long haul.
His World Cup debut, he celebrated in December 2005. In 2007 he took part in the all-around speed skating European Championships in Italy Ritten and reached 17th place at the end
His biggest success came Contin at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, where he finished sixth on the 10,000 m in fourth place and over 5000 m.
In the single distance world championship 2011 in Inzell he finished surprising about 5000 m the 4th Place. 2012 in Heerenveen he could reach the fifth place over the same distance.
His best result so far in the all around, he reached in 2012 at the European Championships in Budapest. On the four- fight, he finished fifth place.
Inline Speed Skating

In the Inline Speed Skating European Championships 2004 on the track, he won a complete set of medals in the individual competitions. He won the elimination race over 15,000 m silver medal in the 5000m and bronze in the 1,000 m sprint win. Add to that the gold medal in the relay over 5000 m. In the same year he also won his first medals at the Inline Speed Skating World Championships. On the track, he won the silver medal in the relay and on the road he was victorious over the marathon distance. At the 2005 World Games, he won gold in the 5000m and silver over 3000 m. The EM 2005 was a total of four gold and a silver medal very successful. At the following World Cup, he won the title on the track over 15,000 m.
The next success in major events were slow to place until 2008. At the European Championships, he was with three titles again the most successful participants. In the 2008 World Cup, he won three years ago the title in the 15,000 m elimination race. He turned in 23:02,778 to min a new world record, which was undercut by Peter Michael from New Zealand in 2011.
In 2009 he won the Berlin Half Marathon in a course record at that time and the overall ranking of the German Inline Cup. At the World Games 2009 he won a silver medal in the 1000 m sprint and at the European Championships silver in the relay and bronze over 15,000 m.
2012 Contin again successful at the World Championships in Italy. He won one silver medal in the 10,000 m points races and two bronze medals over 1,000 m and 20,000 m excretion.
