Johnny Russell (footballer)

Jonathan " Johnny" Russell ( born April 8, 1990 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with the English second division club Derby County since 2013.

Career

Dundee United

A native of his own youth Johnny Russell debuted on 12 May 2007 for Dundee United on a 0-2 defeat at FC Falkirk. In August 2008, he moved on loan to Forfar Athletic and achieved by the end of four goals in nine league games. At the beginning of the 2009/10 season was another loan deal for second division side Raith Rovers.

During the Scottish Premier League 2010 /11, Russell established ( 29 league games / 9 goals) as a regular for Dundee United and reached the first division in fourth place. After again nine hits in the subsequent season, he scored 2012/13 thirteen hits.

Derby County

On June 10, 2013 Johnny Russell moved to the English second division club Derby County and signed a four-year contract.
