Jon Kalinski

Jonathon " Jon" Kalinski ( born May 25 1987 in Bonnyville, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since September 2012 in the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League contract.

Career

Jonathon Kalinski began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the Bonnyville Pontiacs, for which he was active from 2003 to 2005 in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Then the Canadians played three years for the ice hockey team of the Minnesota State University, Mankato. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 in the sixth round as a total of 152 players from the Philadelphia Flyers. Kalinski remained another year in the university team and was taken towards the end of the 2007/08 season in the squad of the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, the farm team of the Flyers. There he made ​​his debut in professional hockey and even played five times in the regular season. In the playoffs, Kalinski completed ten more games for the Phantoms.

On 21 November 2008 Kalinski was first appointed by the Flyers in the NHL squad and first completed two games in the National Hockey League. On February 18, 2012, the Flyers him transferred together with a performance-based second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 and a fourth- round choice right in the NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Pavel Kubina in 2013 to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
