Jörg Burger

Jörg Burger ( b. 1962 ) is a Cologne-based musician and producer of electronic music and techno. He uses, among others, the artists name Burger Industries, The Bionaut, The Modernist and Triola.

Life

Together with his partner Wolfgang Voigt (Mike Ink) applies Burger as one of the first representatives of Minimal Techno in Germany and co-founder of the so-called " Sound of Cologne ". After several years as a songwriter, bassist and guitarist in Gitarrenpopbands, where he reached a top 40 charts in 1985 placing his band Les Immer Essen entitled Hand -Take, Burger began in the late 1980s to deal with electronic music. His first publication in this genre released in 1990 on Thomas Mann's incorrect label Teutonic beats. A year later he founded together with Wolfgang Voigt Label Trance Atlantic and Monochrome, both published on the music together. Together with Ingmar Koch ( " Dr. Walker " ) and Cem Oral ( " Jammin 'Unit " ) of the band Air Liquide founded Burger 1992 the label Blue

Together with Wolfgang Voigt and his brother Reinhard Voigt and Jürgen Paape Burger founded on 1 March 1993 under the name of delirium in Cologne a record store, which was later renamed the Compact and which spawned the eponymous label Kompakt.

After a brief departure from electronic dance music mid 1990 as The Bionaut, he designed 1997, his alter-ego The Modernist, which brought him back to the club. Also In 1997, Jörg Burger, together with the compact designer Bianca shrub in Cologne, graphic design agency granite.

After releases on the record labels Eat Raw / Groove Attack, Harvest / EMI, Matador U.S. & UK, The Popular Organization / Sony Music, Burger published since 2004, mainly on the Kompakt label as Triola, with Wolfgang Voigt as Burger / Voigt and poppy as well as solo under his real name. With the Düsseldorf musician Stefan Schwander ( Antonelli Electr. ) He published in 2001 under the project name pop up.

The collaboration with musician Michaela Dippel and other musicians, the project Cologne Tape showed the album was released Render in 2010.
