José Belloni

José Leoncio Belloni ( born September 12, 1882 in Montevideo, Uruguay, † November 28, 1965 ) was a Uruguayan sculptor.

Born in Montevideo, the son of European immigrants, he returned in 1890 initially to Europe. There, his family settled in Lugano, Switzerland. Belloni attended art school and was a student Luis Vasselis. 1899 was briefly his return to Uruguay. However, he wrote soon then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
