Julia Kykkänen

Julia Kykkänen (* April 17, 1994 in Lahti ) is a Finnish ski jumper.

Career

Kykkänen, which began as a child with ski jumping and starts today for the club Lahti Hiihtoseura, jump since 2007 in Ski Jumping Continental Cup.

Your first jump, she completed on 12 August 2007 in Bishop Green. She finished jumping on the 46th place. On 11 December 2007 she was able to achieve COC points 27th place on the normal hill in Notodden first time. A day later they even reached the 17th place. In the 2009/10 season Kykkänen jumped for the first time regularly in the Continental Cup. They reached the second pass at about half of the jumping. My best result was a 11th place in Zao. Kykkänen 2010/11 could regularly reach the second passage and were the best result of the season in Notodden even 6th place for the first time. They also took part in the Junior World Cup in 2011 and finished 17th in Otepaeae The same placement she succeeded at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo. Overall, Kykkänen slightly increased in the overall standings with 171 points, she took the 29th place.

As was held in the 2011/2012 season for the first time a toilet in ski jumping for women ( a Summer Grand Prix there were not ) they could in the summer initially reach the 2nd round regularly. Julia Kykkänen plays alongside their ski jumping career even football with the juniors of FC Reipas. She is the daughter of ski jumping coach Kimmo Kykkänen who looks after in addition to the national ladies and the juniors of Lahti Hiihtoseura.

On February 2, 2014 Kykkänen jumped at the World Cup in the Austrian Hinzenbach for the first time on the podium. Behind Sara Takanashi and Daniela Iraschko Pride was the Finn to third place.
