Reviews

  • Michael Atkinson wrote in the Village Voice, 9 April 2001, the comedy was warmed up. You have already acted neither sharp nor modern than the original and this was back in the remake of the case.
  • James Berardinelli quoted on ReelViews the phrase, after which a guest would like a fish stink after three days. This sensation come when watching the movie earlier. The film was one of a large number of forgettable comedies that would only provide some funny moments. The presentation of Jean Reno was a representation of a person with diminished mental abilities compared ( acting like an idiot ). Only the special effects were better than in the film from the year 1993.
  • Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times on 6 April 2001, the film was one of the few American remakes of French movies that not only get the essence of the original, but even they can improve. The calculations based on the contrasts gags are funnier than the first movie.
  • Stephen Hunter wrote in the Washington Post on 6 April 2001, the comedy is not funny. He criticized the views of Christina Applegate (too pale - too wan), Matt Ross and Christian Clavier; only the presentation of Jean Reno was lauded.
