Kadłub Wolny

Free Kadlub (Polish Kadlúb Wolny ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Free Kadlub located in the rural community Zembowitz ( Zębowice ) in Oleski powiat ( district of Rosenberg OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship. Older spellings are, inter alia, Kadlub and Great Kadlub, Frey Kadlub and early 16th century also Skadlub.

Free Kadlub located two kilometers east of the parish seat Zembowitz thirteen kilometers south of the county town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) and 33 kilometers east of the voivodship Opole.

History

On November 17, 1295, the village Kadlub was first mentioned. The previously payable to the St. Adalbert's Church in Opole was interest from that date payable to the local Holy Cross Church. In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and the Silesian Voivodeship was connected and renamed Kadlúb Wolny. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the re-established powiat Oleski. On 23 October 2007 German was in the community Zembowitz who belongs to free Kadlub, introduced as a second official language.
