Kaňovice (Frýdek-Místek District)

Kaňovice ( Kaniowitz German, Polish Kaniowice ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north of the center of Frýdek- Místek and belongs to Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

Kaňovice is located at the headwaters of the creek Dolni Datyňka in the hills of the northern Beskidenvorlandes. East of the Valley of the Lučina lies with the dam Žermanice. To the west rises the Horni Datyňka.

Neighboring towns are Václavovice in the north, America and Dolni Datyně in the northeast, Závrší, Špluchov and Žermanice in the east, Velicesta the southeast, Bruzovičky and Bruzovice in the south, Kouty, Mlzáky and Sedliště the southwest, Řepiště in the west and Rakovec and Vratimov in the northwest.

History

The corresponding rule for Friedeck village was created on October 29, 1613 under John of Vrbno and Freudenthal by the manorial officials Kanov. 1636 were in the land register for the village 22 property, a mill and a fish pond reported. Parish and school location was Bruzovice.

Between 1839 and 1840 the village received the first road connection with the construction of the road from Šenov after Frýdek.

From 1850 formed Kaniowitz / Kaňovice a municipality in the district of Teschen. 1853 children were retrained after Sedliště because after Bruzovice led only dirt roads. In the years 1873-1874 a separate school building was erected in Kaňovice. From 1908 the town belonged to the district Friedeck. In 1924 the bridge over the Dolni Datyňka. After the Second World War Kaňovice was assigned to the Okres Místek and came in 1961 after the dissolution of the Okres Frýdek- Místek.
